Question

Group Presentation: Up to 3 students in a group. Students are required to find and form their respective groups.

Duration: 10 minutes

Presentation times: In class anytime from Week 6 to Week 11 (inclusive).

Topic: Any topic of interest that has been covered in the LAWS 20061 course. The topic should include a case study, a brief discussion of the relevant law and how managers should respond. For example, students can use an engineering project as a case study and examine how the relevant law has had an influence on the project. Students should then be prepared to discuss how they as managers will apply what they have learnt in this course to aid in their management decision-making process.

Assessment: Campus lecturers will assess each group on the delivery of the class presentation in accordance with the rubrics posted on moodle. Marks will be awarded for (among st other things as stated in the rubrics) the substance of the presentation, presentation skills, technology used and how the presenter seeks to engage the audience.

Students are encouraged to make full use of technology and this includes the use of lecture slides. Please note however that no documents either in hardcopy or electronic form such as lecture slides will need to be submitted at the end of the presentation.

All the very best in your respective presentations and I look forward to hearing good reports of your interesting discussions.
